  1. Which photo is their best? Name the image, explain and be specific as to which photo you are critiquing.
Their best image is the their 3rd photo, the Water Oil photo. The photo has a dominat light blue color over it with small splashes of colors. One critique would be to add a title/label for all the images. Other than this, it is the best image since it has elements that seem unpredictable and natural. I especially find the drops and dissipation of the colors into the general water to be very interesting. I also like the good variation throughout the picture, making it more dynamic.

Which photo should they have done something differently? Explain – don’t just say “nothing”. Think of something!!! or points will be deducted.
In his water bead photo, there are a few different things that could have been done differently. Firstly, the glass and center could have been more centered with even spacing on either side and between the top and bottom of the frame. This could have been through cropping or retaking the photo. Another part that could have been done differently was have a more evenly distributed light behind the water beads. This way the focus and subject could be displayed in a more central and direct way. I also think the photo would feel much more balanced this way. Some shadows in the upper portion of the picture is also visible, which makes the outer space surrounding the subject more inconsistent, and the overall photo more sophisticated and distracting.

What composition technique was used on their best photo? Refer to one composition technique in your explanation. Be specific with the name of the technique from the list below and explain why you think this technique was used.
A composition technique used was in their best photo was Filling the frame. This is seen through how took their photo by getting close to their subject and having it take up much of the frame with little extraneous background space.
